Pacquiao-Morales lll -- a struggle against irrelevance

Manny (Pacman) Pacquiao and Erik (El Terrible) Morales reprise their previous hostile meetings with a compelling year-end thriller certain to usher in a new set of boxing legends.

November 18th is the date of the final installment of this stirring Pacquiao/Morales trilogy with Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas picked once more as the fight site-- a roped off hell where once the daring duo figured in a remarkable slugfest.

Manny and Erik split their first two heads-up duels but with way the Pacman drubbed the Mexicano in their last session and the severe beating he dealt Oscar Larios, the other Mexicano, he becomes the favorite in the long-awaited rubber bout.

Pacquiao is on a tear while Morales has been inactive since he last saw the GenSan idol in a sensational ‘give and take’ shootout that ended in a tenth round knockout of the Tijuana native..

The same sustained action will be offered by both warriors when they conclude their three fight setto with Manny expected to start early in order to surprise a notoriously late-going Erik...

Remember how it was when Pacquiao connected with his vigorous punches in that January melee? Morales after getting nailed with perfectly timed counters, staggered to an impromptu cha-cha with his legs moving independently from his other body parts.

Sensing he had his man treed, Pacquiao, cut loose with hard blows to send his fans roaring at the tenth round manhanding of the three-time champ who had never been stopped during his storied reign .

So, it’s a tough job ahead for Erik as he tries to subdue Manny with his iron- fists, encased in his preferred ‘made in Japan’ gloves-- a move that’ll surely warm the cockles of Manny’s huge fighting heart ika nga.

Great fighters like Pacquiao are insidious once they go for the kill. But can he con Morales into watchhing out for his left-- only to run smack into a mind-boggling right, as what happened in their bloody rematch.

You bet he will.

The final pairing of arguably the best super-featherweights of the universe is an extraordinary twelve rounder which has all the marks of a brutal brawl among carnassial-toothed cats in a back alley.

The winner gets to be richer-- but of course. Needless--the loser slips into irrelevance.
