About Florante Condes
Florante “The Little Pacquiao” Condes, Jr. (born May 20, 1980 in Looc, Romblon) is a retired Filipino southpaw who fought professionally from 2002 to 2016. He captured the IBF minimumweight title in 2007 by scoring two knockdowns and earning a split decision over Muhammad Rachman in Jakarta. Ranked as high as No. 3 in Ring Magazine’s strawweight ratings, Condes lost the belt in 2008 to Raul García despite a late knockdown. He later challenged Nkosinathi Joyi in a title eliminator and faced top contenders including Wanheng Menayothin and Hekkie Budler. His career was marred by managerial disputes and financial issues, but he retired with a record of 38 fights, 27 wins (23 by KO), 10 losses, and 1 draw. Condes remains remembered as Romblon’s world champion, admired for his punching power and resilience.
