About Brian Viloria

Brian “The Hawaiian Punch” Viloria (born November 24, 1980 in Waipahu, Hawaii) is a retired American boxer of Filipino descent. A standout amateur, he won gold at the 1999 World Amateur Championships and represented the U.S. at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Turning pro in 2001, Viloria became a two-division world champion, holding the WBC and IBF light flyweight titles and later unifying the WBA and WBO flyweight crowns in 2012 by defeating Hernán Márquez. Known for his sharp counterpunching and body attack, he fought elite opponents including Ulises Solís, Giovani Segura, Juan Francisco Estrada, and Román González. Viloria retired in 2018 with a professional record of 46 fights, 38 wins (23 by KO), 6 losses, and 2 no contests, remembered as one of Hawaii’s greatest boxing champions and a prominent Filipino-American figure in the sport.
